Whether you're buying them for Easter baskets or buying them on clearance, you can re purpose these plastic eggs into so many educational tools. These are great ways to recycle something that might otherwise be thrown away.
1. Matching Lowercase and Uppercase letters. Write a lowercase letter on one half of an egg and an Upper case letter on the matching half.
2. Solving simple math equations. Write simple addition and subtraction equations on one half of an egg, and the answer on the other half.
3. Color matching. Separate all the eggs and mix them up. Have the kids match the colors.
4. Make color combinations cards. For example, a card with a red dot and a blue dot. Have the children pull cards and create that color combination.
5. Draw a series of different faces (expressions) and have students match up eggs and "make" feelings and identify them.
6. Use in water or sensory tables.
7. Make musical instruments.
